Directions for use of Price-Driscoll Bulk Mold Cleaners
When using a product for the first time, be sure to read and understand the Safety Data Sheet prior to use.
For the personal protection of the operator and safety-in-use of these products please follow these recommendations:
Eye production: Chemical goggles, safety glasses with side shields.
Clothing: Wear long sleeves, chemical resistant gloves, butyl rubber or Teflon FEP* gloves, coveralls, apron and boots as necessary to prevent skin contact.
Respiration: Wear a NIOSH/MSH approved organic vapor/mist respirator or an air supplied respirator as appropriate to prevent overexposure by inhalation.
Ventilation: Use local exhaust, mechanical ventilation of confined spaces.
Molds or tooling should be metal, aluminum or steel. When using cleaners in liquid bulk form, the product formula is ready to use. No mixing, diluting, etc. is necessary.
To apply the liquid cleaner to the mold or tooling use a stiff bristle brush, a paint brush or spray bottle (industrial strength, i.e. Grainger or McMaster-Carr). Allow soak time to dissolve built-up materials on molds. It may be helpful to use a bronze bristle cleaning brush.
Flush away contaminant or wipe away dissolved contaminants with a clean lint-free rag or scrub with a soft bristle brush for stubborn materials. Residue and or excess liquid may be removed with compressed air.
